We create bespoke, sophisticated and delicious wedding cakes, with designs that range from vintage to contemporary. During the wedding cake design process our award-winning creative director Juhee works with each client personally. This starts with a consultation to capture design ideas and specific tastes, through development and ultimately to the creation of a wedding cake to perfectly complement the wedding theme. Juhee can take design inspiration from many sources, including wedding invitations, the bridal dress, fabric samples, floral bouquets, jewellery, photographs, magazine clippings, or anything else that the client would like us to use. However, and most importantly for us at Bloom, our mission is to ensure that each client’s experience from beginning to end is a pleasurable one and that this culminates in the wedding cake of their dreams to grace the special day.

We aim to respond as quickly as possible but please allow up to 48 hours.

CONSULTATION & TASTING : Consultation & Tasting sessions can be arranged at our studio in Preston for £30/couple (this is deducted from the price of your cake if you place an order with us over £500). During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to try a selection of the sponge cakes and buttercream fillings from our tasting menu. If you require more specific flavours, we will do our best to accommodate your wishes. Please feel free to bring along anything to your consultation that you would like us to use for inspiration during the design of your cake. You can book a Consultation & Tasting sessions either by using our  ONLINE BOOKING  or by email.

PAYMENT/PRICING : To secure the date in advance, we would normally require a non-refundable deposit of £100, although this is dependent on how far in advance of your date the booking is made. Once you have made your order with us after the Consultation & Tasting session, we require 50% non-refundable deposit. In any case, the balance of your order must be cleared four weeks before the collection or delivery of your cake. We’ll explain the payment process clearly at the time of booking. We won’t be able to guarantee the accurate price of your cake until after the design consultation, but a guide to our prices is given below:

COLLECTION/DELIVERY : The collection point for your cake is the Bloom Artisan Cakes studio at <6 Grove House, 1 Moor Park Avenue, Preston, Lancashire, PR1 6AS>. Your cake will be boxed carefully and we will provide advice for safe transportation and storage.  Please note that once you have collected your cake, full responsibility for the safety of the cake rests with you and Bloom Artisan Cakes is not liable for any damages thereafter. Alternatively and if you prefer, Bloom Artisan Cakes could deliver your cake*. If you choose this option we will contact the wedding venue to arrange a delivery date/time. Whenever possible your cake will be delivered to the venue the day before your wedding day to minimize the impact of any unexpected problems.
* The option for delivery is always subject to the destination address and access – please contact us to discuss your requirements.  We normally charge 50p/mile for round trip delivery from the Bloom Artisan Cakes studio to destinations in north-west England. Further charges may apply if you would like us to set up your cake. Note that if your cake has more than three tiers, we would not normally transport it fully assembled and therefore a level of setup would be required at the destination.

CANCELATION : If you choose to cancel your order, please note that any payments already made are non-refundable. Any specially ordered items and work already undertaken in accordance with your instructions may be chargeable in addition.

It is our firm opinion that the taste of a cake is as important as its appearance and as a consequence, all of our cakes are made from high-quality ingredients to which we apply our scrumptious flavouring techniques. Our wedding cakes are normally made up of three or more tiers. Each tier is approximately five inches tall and usually comprises four layers of sponge separated by Swiss meringue buttercream filling. The tier is then coated with a thin layer of either rich dark or creamy white Belgian chocolate ganache and is finished in a smooth marshmallow fondant covering ready for decorating.
